Whistle-blowing: MTNFootball Reporter Wanted Bribe To Publish Article A reporter that works for MTNFootball.com Olusola Alao has been fingered in a bribery scandal, which makes the credibility of the South African website questionable.

On Friday, November 1, the editor of allnigeriasoccer.com received a telephone call from a football agent based in Germany, Femi Oladele.

The Masters Degree holder who attended University of Konstanz, Germany wanted this portal to publish a story on the activities of his agency.

While we tried to negotiate terms on a pictorial advertisement, Femi Oladele informed allnigeriasoccer.com that Mr Olusola Alao, who is on the payroll of MTNFootball, asked for bribe before publishing an article on his agency, DVM Sport Management Inc.

This practice by the MTNFootball.com reporter is against the ethics of journalism, especially as the website is being sponsored by a telecommunications giant.

It is now assumed that all the stories published by MTNFootball.com are advertorials. No wonder Nigerian professional footballers plying their trade overseas are not adequately covered and shun the website.

ANS contacted the culprit Olusola Alao and Samm Audu, the Nigerian editor of MTNFootball to clear themselves of this breach of ethics but they were not forthcoming with information.

Meanwhile, allnigeriasoccer.com has promised the agent that an article will be published free of charge after telling us he did not want to part with cash to pay for a pictorial advertisement.

Readers should feel free to contact the whistle-blower Femi Oladele on +49(0)9516010316 , +49(0)1622162524, +49(0)15213633288 to verify the accuracy of this report.
