Bayer Leverkusen Plan To Extend Contract Of Sidney Sam
Published: November 12, 2013
Germany international Sidney Sam has been in sparkling form for Bayer Leverkusen in the ongoing season, netting 7 goals (5 assists) in 12 Bundesliga matches.
With the attacking midfielder’s contract set to run out in June 2015, the Bayer Leverkusen brass wants him to extend his stay at the BayArena as several European teams are interested in his signature.
“We want to extend with Sid definitely. He is a very important player. We want to set an example that we can keep our players. We have indeed finished with Bender and Leno.
“By Christmas we would like clarity. And what about Sam? It just fits the moment. I can well imagine he stays here, ” says Sporting Director Rudi Voller to German newspaper Bild.
