Austrian Footballer Martin Pusic Absconds From Brann To Meet Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
Published: November 20, 2013
Former Austria youth - teamer Martin Pusic has gone into the bad books of the management of SK Brann after he absconded from the club this week to attend a Christian Conference in Nigeria.
Martin Pusic, 26, had earlier sought permission from Brann to attend the conference being hosted by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Christ Embassy but this was rejected.
“He changed my life for a couple of years ago when I was saved. This is huge for me.
“He teaches me to be happy when everything is not going well in life.
“I am mainly here to hear the word of God. There is no better way for me to allay the disappointment after the season than to turn to God,” Pusic told bt.no.
Though the Norwegian championship ended ten days ago, Brann continue to train in unfavorable weather before the squad proceeds on Christmas vacation.
Martin Pusic was top scorer for Brann in the Tippeligaen with 9 goals in 27 matches.
He works for free as a translator for Chris Oyakhilome.
