Nurudeen Orelesi Confident Skenderbeu Korce Will Win The League
Published: November 26, 2013
Skënderbeu Korçë midfielder Nurudeen Orelesi has stated that there is no cause for concern despite the back to back Albania champions picking just one point from their last two matches in the Super League.
The southeastern Albania side were defeated 1 - 0 by Bylis Ballsh in the penultimate round of matches before sharing the spoils with Besa Kavajë this past weekend.
“We were not efficient, that is for sure. Always want to get the maximum, but have not managed in the last game, where we lost two more points that will give us a more convenient and comfortable position at the top of the classification,” Orelesi told panorama - sport.com.
Orelesi, a product of ECO FC, Lagos, has stressed that Skënderbeu Korçë will win the championship for the fourth consecutive year when matches are concluded next summer.
He told the Albanian sports daily : “While we are in the first place, I can tell you that we have not doubted for one moment in the championship triumph.
“I can tell you that the performance is not among the best, but we are in first place and, despite everything, have a comfortable margin before other teams.”
The former Flying Eagles wing back has made 11 appearances in the top division but has failed to open his goal account.
