Anthony Ujah Happy To End Goal Drought
Published: December 07, 2013
Cologne attacker Anthony Ujah was pleased to bring an end to his nine matches without a goal after netting in the 2 - 0 win over FSV Frankfurt on Saturday.
The Nigeria international handed the Billy Goats the lead in the 54th minute before teammate Marcel Risse made certain the home team got all three points with a strike six minutes from time.
“I am glad to have finally scored after series of unlucky matches, what matters is that we got the 3 points and ended the first round top of the table.
“I will keep working hard for my team to achieve our goal of promotion at the end of the season,” Anthony Ujah said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Cologne, who were relegated from the Bundesliga two seasons back, are top of the standings with 33 points in the kitty after 17 rounds.
