Odion Ighalo Nets First Brace Since May, 2012
Published: December 08, 2013
Former Under 23 National Team skipper Odion Ighalo says he is delighted with his pair of goals as well as Granada’s 2 - 0 victory over Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey.
Odion Ighalo was on the score-sheet just after the half hour mark and in the 81st minute, and this took his tally to three goals in all competitions in the current campaign.
“Happy for the victory of the team and the goals, especially being aware of the difficulty involved in a visit to Santo Domingo.
“This field is very difficult for us going by the history with Alcorcón. I am very happy to have won here.
“On the second goal I am very calm. Whenever you get a ball in the box, have to be quiet,” Odion Ighalo said to granadacf.ideal.es.
24 - year - old Ighalo had previously not scored a brace since Granada’s 2 - 1 win over Espanyol on May 1, 2012.
