Elderson Echiejile Wants Pay Rise To Extend Sporting Braga Contract

Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon have reiterated their desire to retain the services of Nigeria international Elderson Echiejile.
Sports daily A Bola writes on its website that the leadership of the Archbishops has approached the left back several times over a contract extension but the Super Eagle has continued to rebuff the advances.
African champions Nigeria has qualified for her fifth World Cup, with Echiejile almost certain to play in his second mundial and put himself in the shop window barring injury or severe loss of form.
In the light of the foregoing, the 25 - year - old wants Sporting Braga to offer him improved wages before he puts pen to paper on a new contract.
It should be noted that Elderson Echiejile’s contract expires in June 2014 and he can sign a pre - contract with a new team as early as next month.
