Hull City Monitoring Newcastle Striker Shola Ameobi
Published: December 10, 2013Hull City are keeping tabs on Newcastle attacker Shola Ameobi, according to the electronic edition of the Chronicle .
The British newspaper reported that assistant coach Steve Agnew ran the rule over the Nigeria international on November 30 when Newcastle United hosted West Brom.
Though Ameobi was not on the score-sheet, he might have done enough to convince Hull to offer him a contract.
With his place in the Super Eagles World Cup roster not guaranteed, the experienced forward knows he has to be playing regularly to stand a chance of being on the plane to Brazil.
Shola Ameobi still has contractual obligations with Newcastle United until the summer of 2014.
