Published: December 16, 2013
Over the summer, the 27 - year - old put pen to paper on a two - year deal with Aris, which would have kept him with the Yellow Blacks until June 2015.
Since the contract was formalized, Aris have refused to remit a single euro to his bank account, wages totaling around 28,000 euros.
Per Fifa rules and regulations, John Ibeh had the right to terminate his contract with his employer.
Last week, he informed the Greek authorities of his intention to severe ties with Aris and today, Monday, the leadership of the club sanctioned his departure.
Furthermore, John Ibeh plans to report Aris to Fifa, his only chance of getting his unpaid benefits.
He is not the only Nigerian being owed wages though his case is less complex than that of Chigozie Udoiji, top scorer for Aris in the Super League with 5 goals in 13 appearances.
Aris are trying everything possible to convince Udoji to rescind his decision to quit.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the Thessaloniki based outfit , whose balance sheet is mismatched, owe past and present players approximately 7 million euros in accrued wages.
