FC Vestsjælland have secured the signature of Nigerian attacker Edward Ofere, 27, on a six - month contract.
Now, Ove Pedersen, head coach of the Vikings has revealed that the former Malmo ace has been on his wishlist for a long time.
“He was top scorer in his time at Malmö, and I would actually like him to join AGF when I was there.
“I tried again in Esbjerg, but it’s kind of impossible because of the advisors he had back then.
“He came instead to Lecce, where he scored three times in Serie A. But later he was injured and went a little stuck,”
Ove Pedersen was quoted as saying by bold.dk.
He continued : “We were already in the spring by taking him in, but was a little unsure of him because he had not played long.
“But now came the chance again, and he fits perfectly in proportion to what we have in the spring.
“And he comes in fighting form after playing full-time and scored eight times in 11 appearances for Trelleborg.”
