Bayer Leverkusen Will Not Break The Bank To Keep Sidney Sam

Bayer Leverkusen intend to offer German - Nigerian midfielder Sidney Sam a new contract but have stated that the club will not go above their financial capabilities.
The 25 - year - old, who has bagged 7 goals in 13 Bundeliga games, has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until the summer of 2015.
“We are aware of the contract situation of Sidney Sam.
“We would like to sign a new contract with him to ensure he stays at this club for more years to come.
“However, not at any price. This is a fact, ” Leverkusen chairman Michael Schade told bild.de.
The likes of Liverpool and Schalke 04 are also in the running for the signing of the Germany international.
