Exclusive : Sporting Lisbon Ready To Snatch Kelechi Iheancho From Under Noses Of Porto
Published: December 29, 2013
According to leaks gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com editorial staff, Porto may miss out on the signature of Kelechi Iheanacho after rivals Sporting Lisbon slapped in a bid of around 300,000 euros for the Nigeria youth - teamer.
This is not paper talk as there has been contact between representatives of Sporting Lisbon and Taye Academy, the grassroots team which owns the economic and sporting rights of Kelechi Iheanacho.
The offer from Sporting Lisbon is more tempting as it is in excess of the 250,000 euros being offered by Porto.
It is understood that Sporting Lisbon have received assurances from Taye Academy and the capital club now want to thrash out personal terms with James Iheancho, Kelechi’s dad as well as Henry Galeano, the midfielder’s agent.
If an agreement is reached by all the parties, Kelechi Iheanacho will append his signature on a four - year contract and his dad will be rewarded with the sum of 300,000 euros.
Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, PAOK, Monaco and Udinese had all previously expressed interest in signing him.
