Mikel, Toure, Drogba Make Best Player Shortlist

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the three footballers vying for the right to be called the top player on the continent.
Two - time winner of the award, Yaya Toure will compete with fellow Ivorian Didier Drogba as well as Nigeria international John Obi Mikel for the 2013 African Footballer of the Year.
In the African Player of the Year (playing domestically) Warri Wolves midfielder Sunday Mba has been nominated alongside Egyptians Ahmed Fathy and Mohamed Abou Trika.
Fifa Under 17 World Cup Golden Ball winner Kelechi Iheanacho, Ebenezer Assifuah and Saleh Gomaa are the top three youngsters listed for the most promising talent award.
Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi, Golden Eaglets gaffer Manu Garba and Paul Put are the three finalists for the coach of the year award.
The winners will receive their award at a gala ceremony in Lagos on January 9.
