Asisat Oshoala Rescues Falconets With Last Gasp Penalty
Published: January 04, 2014
Nigerian U20 women team otherwise known by admirers as Falconets forced the Gombe U13 boys to an impressive one-all draw, in a tension soaked game played in Abuja earlier today.
Gombe who were disqualified in the U13 competition going on in the nations capital drew the curtain raiser, and after that they were pegged back by Falconets.
The team under the tutelage of Peter Dedevbo rallied back as they bombarded the Gombe boys with some all attack football.
Falconets eventually leveled up late in the game when inspirational skipper and Delta Queens ace, Patience Okaeme was brought down and Rivers Angels midfielder Asisat Oshoala coolly scored from the spot.
