Fasilat Adeyemo Grateful To Falconets Gaffer

Fasilat Adeyemo has thanked head coach of Falconets, Peter Dedevbo for giving her the chance to show her talents in the comprehensive 6 - 0 victory over South Africa U20 Women on Saturday.
Falconets were outstanding with Yetunde Adeboyejo and Halimatu Ayinde both registering two goals each.
Winifred Eyebhoria and Sunday Uchechi-Lopes completed the rout for the U20 girls.
The 19-year-old defender spoke after appearing in her first official game under the watchful eyes of the lanky coach.
“I must thank my club (Confluence Queens) and most importantly the gaffer (Peter Dedevbo) for the opportunity to be in this team.’’
The dependable defender, who played an important role in the 2012 U20 Women’s World Cup held in Japan revealed that she will continue to work hard to justify her inclusion.
“God has been good to me. My desire is to work hard and once again make the squad to Canada 2014.
“I believe in my own ability, this is a starting point for me and a step to bigger and greater things in life.’’
On the return leg in South Africa, the sweeper also known by admirers as Size 2 said that they will respect the hosts and not fear them.
“It’s time to go back and regroup, our coaches are capable to teach us and dish out the instruction we need in getting a positive result in South Africa,’’ she concluded.
