Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Serie A club Lazio have refused to pay for the heel tendon operation to be undertaken by Nigeria youth teamer Sani Emmanuel next month.
The Golden Ball winner at the Fifa Under 17 World Cup staged in Nigeria around four years ago has not played a single game for the youth team of the Biancocelesti since the start of this season as a result of severe pains being experienced in both legs.
Before committing their finances, the Lazio brass want Sani Emmanuel to append his signature on a new contract, with his current one set to run out in the next six months.
The former My People FC ace has been playing with the ailment since the Under 17 World Cup.
But it has grown worse and there is no option left for him except he undergoes a surgical procedure.
According to medics, the operation will cost around 20,000 euros.
