World Exclusive : Tottenham Hotspur Remain In Pole Position For Nigerian Neymar, Musa Yahaya
Published: January 13, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Tottenham Hotspur are close to wrapping up a deal for Golden Eaglets sensation Musa Yahaya, dubbed the Nigerian Neymar.
Recent reports had suggested that Premier League rivals Manchester City were ahead of other suitors in the race for the signature of the Mutunchi Academy midfielder.
But those speculations are far from market reality as there has not been any contact whatsoever between representatives of the Citizens and the agent of the Nigeria Under 17 international, Babawo Mohammed.
Instead, Tottenham Hotspur should be worried about bitter rivals Arsenal, who are doing all they can to snatch the youngster before a deal is completed.
The agent that brokered the Arsenal deal has advised the Gunners brass to contact former club hero Nwankwo Kanu.
Kanu has a mandate which is to convince Musa Yahaya and his entourage to snub Tottenham Hotspur for Arsenal.
Spurs have moved fast by sending an invitation letter to Musa Yahaya and his agent and they are expected to travel to Spain in the coming days for a routine medical before completing the deal.
