Michael Olaitan is staking a claim to make the Super Eagles World Cup roster after his form for Olympiacos earned him a starting shirt in Sunday evening’s Super League showdown with Xanthi.
The 21 - year - old attacking midfielder cum striker scored his fourth league goal of the season, his second in as many games.
But it did not stop there as the highly rated starlet also created an assist for teammate Ariel Ibagaza, which he netted in the 89th minute.
Olaitan penned a four - year contract with the Reds last summer and has netted 7 goals in all competitions, a good return for the player who was playing grassroots football barely three years ago.
Olympiacos continue to top the standings in Greece with 59 points in their kitty after 21 rounds.
