Official : Christian Obodo Pens Five Month Contract With Olhanense
Published: January 28, 2014
Through a statement on its official website, Primeira Liga club Olhanense has announced that it has secured the signing of Nigeria international Christian Obodo.
The central midfielder will defend the colors of the Lions for the rest of this season with an option to extend for an additional year inserted into the contract.
Obodo , 29 , has been training with Olhanense and was the best player for his new club in an exhibition game against Lokomotiv Moscow on January 22.
“I knew the Algarve because I had been here earlier in stages along with the selection of Nigeria, who usually train in southern Portugal.
“Here the weather is fantastic and the food and the environment in terms of nature or the social aspect and that is important for a professional soccer,” Obodo told the official website of Olhanense.
He previously represented Udinese, Torino, Peruggia, Fiorentina, Lecce and Dinamo Minsk.
