Taiwo Awoniyi Ready For Kalmar
Published: January 29, 2014
Taiwo Awoniyi , 16, has traveled to Sweden to inspect the facilities of Kalmar FF.
A product of Imperial Soccer Academy, the Under 17 World Cup winner was accompanied by his agent Goke Oshotoba plus Nigeria international Seyi Olofinjana, the founder of the Odogbolu based grassroots team.
“Club need not be large. I’m not saying he should not come to Kalmar, the association has all the attributes that fit where Taiwo can be developed further.
“It is easy for the agent, the academy and the player to say “I’m going to Liverpool or Manchester City,” but the key is a place where he can go on and take the next step,” says Olofinjana to Barometern.
Awoniyi notched up 4 goals in 7 matches at the Fifa Under 17’s staged in the United Arab Emirates last November.
