Kalmar Sporting Director Plays Down Gbenga Arokoyo Link

Various websites had earlier reported that Gbenga Arokoyo could be on his way to Kalmar in the winter transfer market.
The Sporting Director of the Red Brothers, Thomas Andersson Borstam , who previously worked at Mjallby, has denied the speculations which was first published by Swedish media.
Speaking to fotbolldirekt.se, he said : “It becomes generally much speculation down in our latitudes, the geographical proximity of the clubs and I spent eleven years in Mjallby as head coach and sporting director.”
Adding to his previous statement, Borstam said :
“I fully understand the speculation, I knew it would come up. But that’s three or four players at this point as being on the way from Mjallby here to Kalmar, and yet has no one in there.”
Gbenga Arokoyo, 21, has also been linked with teams in Holland, France and Italy in the January transfer window.
It now appears he is staying put in Hällevik, with only 10 hours before the close of the market!
