Kaduna United Line Up Friendly Matches Ahead League Opener

As part of its preparation towards the commencement of the Nigeria Premier League, Kaduna State owned team Kaduna united have lined up five friendly games in a space of three days.
The Crocodile boys will take on amateur one side,1 touch on Thursday before locking horns with NNL group A fourth placed team last season DSS on Friday morning and Abuja based amateur side Court Of Appeal the same day by 4pm.
On Saturday, the team will have another double header starting with a game against NNL side Ranchers Bees before taking on another NNL side in Mighty Jets of Jos later in the evening.
Speaking on the essence of the game, head coach Ben Duamlong said: “The series of friendly games will assist the technical crew in ascertaining the level of preparedness of his team as well help in the assessment of players on trial "
“We have played series of friendly games but this are amongst the last few games we will be playing before the league starts.
“so emphasis is now on blending of the already captured new players with the old one’s we retained and assessing properly those we are still taking a look at in a view to registering them for the League.”
He also revealed that only exceptional players will be accommodated in the team's camp after the conclusion of this set of friendly games.
“This 5 games will signal the end of our month long screening exercise.
“After this game a decision will be made on the screened players and those still on trials and it will take something exceptional for any other player to be accommodated after this week.”
Kaduna United have released 26 players from last season’s team,with 4 leaving for pastures new and a further 24 retained,
New faces in the team includes the trio of Yahuza Bala, Maxwell Effiom,and Junior James poached from Enyimba with a loan deal in view.
Ex Ahly star who turned out for Heartland last season Sunday Ibeji is also with the team,alongside Marshall Ani who represented Gombe United last season.
