Heartland Officials Block Benjamin Francis Move To Ironi Kiryat Shmona
Published: February 06, 2014
Heartland wingback Benjamin Francis has bizarrely missed out on a move to Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
The Nigeria international had traveled to Israel just before the close of the winter transfer market on Wednesday to undergo a traditional medical before putting pen to paper to a contract.
One. co. il says the Israeli Premier League outfit were stunned when Heartland suddenly increased the monetary terms of the contract.
The Naze Millionaires, as they are called in these parts, asked for $50,000 as rental fee and made it clear the club will only release him fully if Ironi Kiryat Shmona can come up with a transfer fee of $350,0000 - $400,000.
Francis, 20, is now expected to return to Nigeria with the next available flight despite passing his Ironi Kiryat Shmona medical.
This portal understands that he is attracting interest from an unnamed team in Turkey.
