Exclusive : Agent Plays Down Reports Oshaniwa Faces Fine, Traveled To Process USA Visa
Published: February 10, 2014
Dudu Dahan, Israeli agent of Nigeria international Juwon Oshaniwa, has played down suggestions that his client might be fined by MS Ashdod for not pulling his weight at training.
Recall that the left back was omitted from the 18 - man squad for the home game with Maccabi Petah Tikva last weekend, fueling speculation that there is a frosty relationship between the player and the leadership of the club at the moment.
“Juwon Oshaniwa did not train with Ashdod for two days because of the time spent out of the city, traveling to process a visa to USA for the national team game (against Mexico).
“It is not true he will be sanctioned by the club. He will play tomorrow in the cup. He has played 17 games already this season so all is well,” Dudu Dahan said to allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
23 - year - old Juwon Oshaniwa has suited up 36 times for Ashdod since arriving Israel from domestic club Sharks of Port Harcourt in 2012.
