Anthony Ujah : Stephen Keshi Is Pleased With Me
Published: February 13, 2014
Cologne forward Anthony Ujah , 23, has been nursing the ambition of playing for Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup since his days at Lillestrom, and the moment of truth is almost around the corner.
He was named in the 23 - man squad for the forerunner to the World Cup, the Confederations Cup and ever since his name has been omitted from several rosters announced by manager Stephen Keshi.
“At the moment the trainer gives many players a chance because he wants to build a new team.
“I had the chance at the Confed Cup and was there when we qualified for the World Cup.
“Our coach told me last month that I would have done it well and he was pleased with me.
“Now I have to improve my performance here in Cologne,” Ujah said to the online edition of German newspaper Bild.
Anthony Ujah has represented the Super Eagles four times in the past in matches against Mexico, Kenya, Namibia and Tahiti.
