Enugu Rangers CEO : It Is A Wrong Report That Ejike Is On Loan From Sundowns

Enugu Rangers General Manager, Paul Chibuzor has quickly reacted to reports that claimed the club and their South African counterparts Mamelodi Sundowns broke transfer market rules regarding the transfer of Ejike Uzoenyi.

It was reported by a section of the local media that Nigeria international Uzoenyi is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns till June

And that suggests that there was a potential infraction in the agreement reached between both clubs as the South African transfer market concluded business on January 31.

“It is a wrong report that Ejike is on loan from Sundowns. How can they sign him when their transfer window is closed?

“He remains our player until June and I have all the documents to that effect.

“We only reached an understanding with Mamelodi Sundowns that Ejike will be moving there in June,” explained Paul Chibuzor to allnigeriasoccer.com.

Per the rules and regulations of game’s governing body Fifa, no physically fit player can be purchased when the transfer window is closed.

In exceptional cases, invalid players or medical jokers are exempted from this rule with the approval of Fifa.

But Ejike Uzoenyi is as fit as a fiddle and has been training with Enugu Rangers post CHAN.
