Mexico Travels To United States A Man Short
Published: March 02, 2014
Mexico National Team fullback Miguel Layún has been dropped from the list of players summoned for the exhibition match against Nigeria later this week in the United States.
The Club America defender has a shoulder injury which he picked up last weekend against UNAM Pumas.
He has since left the training camp to start rehabilitation with the physiotherapists at the capital club.
That means the Tri Color will travel to Atlanta with 22 players instead of the 23 - man roster that was originally envisaged.
Nigeria is also a man short following the injury to Toronto FC striker Bright Dike.
The Mexican domestic based players will leave for the United States on Sunday, March 2.
