Leon Balogun May Spend At Least Two Months On The Sidelines
Fortuna Düsseldorf center half Leon Balogun could spend at least eight weeks on the sidelines after he suffered a broken ankle against Mexico in an international friendly on Wednesday.<br /><br />The German born defender, a late replacement for crocked Joseph Yobo, was introduced by manager Stephen Keshi before the start of the second half .<br /><br />But he had to make way for Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe in the 66th minute due to an injury he picked up after hitting the advertising board.<br /><br />Initial prognosis suggests that the 25 - year - old will be out of action for between eight to twelve weeks.<br /><br />“Leon Balogun has suffered a broken ankle. His leg is already in a cast. He had an excellent debut and the coaches rate him highly too,” Deji Tinubu, who monitored proceedings at the Georgia Dome, said.<br /><br />Injury has limited the appearances of Leon Balogun in the last three seasons, having made 31 out of a possible 91 appearances for his teams in the German championship, excluding reserve team games.<br /><br />Photo Credit : Deji Tinubu<br />
