Separation From Wife Could Be Reason For Aiyenugba Poor Form
Published: March 09, 2014
Nigeria international Dele Aiyenugba is having his worst season since he moved to Israel from Enyimba of Aba seven years ago.
After 24 rounds of matches in the Premier League, Dele Aiyenugba has conceded 37 goals for bottom of the table Bnei Yehuda.
It is thought that one of the reasons for his dip in form is the separation from his wife, who abandoned him in Israel and returned to Nigeria.
But Aiyenugba continues to get the support of his coach Abukasis and a couple of players in the dressing room.
“You can not replace the goalkeeper now. Dele is our keeper and he will be there until the playoffs.
“This period is crazy and you never know what will happen if we replace goalie now.
“Aiyenugba has a bad time letting in goals, but we still trust him,” an unnamed Bnei Yehuda was quoted as saying by Sports Walla.
The Super Eagle is expected to be in goal when Bnei Yehuda square off with Maccabi Haifa later today.
