Austin Ejide To Remain At Hapoel Beer Sheva For Additional Season
Published: March 13, 2014
Nigeria international Austin Ejide will stay for a third season at Israeli Premier League high-flyers Hapoel Beer Sheva.
In the summer of 2012, the 30 - year - old committed his future to the Camels for 2 years which ought to elapse at the end of this season.
However, there was a clause for option of an additional season in favor of the club which they have triggered.
It stipulated that Austin Ejide must play at least 70 percent of the team’s matches this season for him to be rewarded with a new deal.
As at March 13, 2014, the Super Eagles safe pair of hands has met and surpassed that target, having being involved in 96 percent of all the games.
Put in another way, he has just missed one game this season, a meaningless State Cup fixture against Maccabi Shaarayim .
Austin Ejide has spent the last five years in Israel, first representing Hapoel Petah Tikva before his switch to Hapoel Beer Sheva.
