Published: March 29, 2014
John Utaka scored either side of the half as Sivasspor defeated Gaziantepspor 3 - 2 in the 27th round of games in the Super League.
The 32 - year - old had been on the sidelines for about five weeks before returning to action last weekend against Kayseri Erciyesspor.
During his absence, Sivasspor could only score four goals in four matches, and to worsen matters they failed to pick a point out of the available 16 points on offer.
So it was relief for manager Roberto Carlos that the Nigeria international made a return to the starting lineup for the encounter at the Eylül Stadyumu .
John Utaka opened scoring in the 15th minute and sealed victory for Sivasspor in the final minute of injury time.
With the win, Sivasspor have climbed to fourth on the table with 40 points.
