John Utaka Targets Europe With Sivasspor
Published: March 31, 2014
The 32 - year - old, a summer arrival from Montpellier in France, was missing from the Sivasspor lineup for most part of February and March due to injury.
His performance on Saturday against Gaziantepspor in which he netted the opening and winning goal ticks the right boxes and this has kept the dream of playing in Europa League next term alive.
“I am very happy to return to scoring. But what makes me more happy is that my team won. If we are willing and eager to continue to play that way, we would reach our goal.
“Sivasspor are supposed to play in Europe and with the support of the fans, we will achieve this,” John Utaka was quoted as saying by the electronic edition of Fanatik.
In the race for the last Europa League spot, Sivasspor sit fourth on the table, 1 point ahead of Kasimpasa.
