Rabiu Ali Waters Down Talk Of Crisis In Kano Pillars
Published: April 01, 2014
Ahead of their meeting with Warri Wolves in the Glo Premier League on Wednesday, Kano Pillars playmaker Rabiu Ali has insisted that there is no cause for alarm despite the club managing only 1 point since the start of the season.
And on top of that, the Nigeria champions failed to make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League after failing to beat AS Vita Club of Democratic Republic of Congo on aggregate.
“Actually it is disturbing as we have not started the season as we expected.
“As far as I am concerned, there is no crisis in the team. The challenge is on the part of the technical crew to get back to the drawing board,” says Rabiu Ali to allnigeriasoccer.com.
For the first time ever, the 27 - year - old midfielder has opened up on how he came by the name Pele.
“I can’t recall when I started answering this name Pele. It started right from my primary school age,” Rabiu Ali said.
