Exclusive : Sunday Mba Suspended For Three Matches
Published: April 01, 2014
CA Bastia attacking midfielder Sunday Mba has been suspended for three games by Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) following his red card against Tours in the 29th round of matches, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
The Nigeria international sat out the 3 - 1 win over Creteil last Friday but he will miss two more games in the championship against Le Havre (April 4) and Nimes ( April 11).
On March 21, Sunday Mba was issued a straight red card in the 34th minute by referee Ben El Hadj for a tackle on defender Leo Schwechlen.
It is thought Leo Schwechlen made a meal of the incident as he returned to the pitch two minutes after and completed the game without feeling any discomfort.
Sunday Mba has netted 2 goals in 11 Ligue 2 appearances since his transfer from Warri Wolves in the winter market.
