Disciplined Joseph Yobo Out For At Least One Week
Published: April 19, 2014
Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo will spend at least the next one week on the sidelines, Norwich City gaffer Neil Adams has stated through the official channel.
For the past two weeks, the experienced defender has been struggling with a calf complaint which made him sit out the last Premier League fixture against Fulham.
And based on the estimation of club medics, the 33 - year - old could miss make or mar ties against Liverpool and Manchester United.
Coach Neil Adams told canaries.co.uk : “Joseph’s had a scan on his calf, and it will be a week or maybe two weeks, we don’t know. The sooner the better but he had the scan two or three days ago and he’s one we’ve got to manage.”
Before the injury setback, Brazil bound Joseph Yobo has suited up 8 times in the Premier League.
Playing in the competitive Turkish and English championships, he has not been cautioned in his last 29 games.
On the other hand, his main competitor for a starting spot at the World Cup, Kenneth Omeruo has been yellow carded 9 times and took the walk of shame against Birmingham City on April 8.
And as they say, the difference is clear!
