Grassroots club Iwere FC have advanced to the third round of the Delta State Federation Cup following their 6 - 4 victory on penalties over Soccer ABC FC on Saturday at the Ogwashi - Uku Stadium.
Regulation time had ended 1 - 1 before the outcome of the meeting was decided on the lottery of spot kicks.
Paul Ezemenyiba, one of the key players in the Iwere squad, has boasted that his team will upset highly rated Warri Wolves when they clash with the Glo Premier League campaigners in the next stage of the competition.
“The match will be tough as it is going to be two Warri based teams battling for a quarterfinal ticket.
“But I think we can cause an upset because we train on the same pitch. And we are also used to some of their players and their game plan,” says Ezemenyiba to allnigeriasoccer.com.
