Emmanuel Ibok Edet Suspended Again By Malta Federation
Published: April 30, 2014
The Malta Federation Disciplinary Committee has suspended former Nigeria youth international Emmanuel Ibok Edet for one match following his yellow card against Rabat Ajax in the last round of matches in the Premier League.
That 79th minute caution was his eighth booking of the just concluded season, meaning he will not be available for selection should he remain with Floriana next term.
This is the second time the one - time Atlético Baleares ace will be sanctioned by the Malta Federation, having served a suspension due to accumulated card offenses last October.
Otherwise, Emmanuel Edet had an outstanding first season in the Island Nation, making 29 starts for Floriana in the Premier League.
He was on target in the 2 - 1 home loss to Balzan in January.
