Brown Ideye Takes World Cup Omission On The Chin
Published: May 08, 2014
In a series of Tweets, Dynamo Kiev forward has diplomatically stated that he does not hold a grudge against Stephen Keshi despite his shock omission from the provisional World Cup squad list announced on Tuesday.
To the neutrals, the Nigeria manager betrayed Brown Ideye, choosing Shola Ameobi, Uche Nwofor and Michael Uchebo ahead of him in his pecking order of forwards he plans to take to the showpiece event in Fifa’s football calender.
“I’m sorry all my fans that things turn out this way, it’s make me believe that I have to work very hard, improvement of my game and improving on my role as a striker.
“So disappointed but life those not end here. Last things I will do is to wish my friends BAD!
“We are more than teammates, we are like a family in and out the pitch. That is why we are moving forward, wish you guys all the best,” Brown Ideye said.
Even in his period of grief, the African Cup of Nations winner revealed that he will not turn his back on the national team and will continue supporting them from afar.
