Enyeama Is Best African Goalie In FranceLess than 24 hours after failing to land the award for Best Goalkeeper in Ligue 1, Nigeria international Vincent Enyeama has been selected as the Best African Player in Ligue 1, an award named after deceased Cameroonian footballer Marc-Vivien Foe .

In winning the prestigious award, Enyeama was chosen ahead of Serge Aurier (Toulouse FC) and the Cameroon international Henri Bedimo (Olympique Lyonnais).

The jury was made up of French football journalists , with each picking 3 out of 10 names nominated by RFI and France 24.

The 31 - year - old now replaces Gabon National Teamer Emerick Aubameyang Pierre who won the award last year while on the books of Saint-étienne.

Vincent Enyeama has conceded 25 goals after 37 rounds of matches in the top division in France.
