Official : Portland Timbers Announce Acquisition Of Fanendo Adi

With a statement on its official website, MLS side Portland Timbers has announced that it has completed the signing of Fanendo Adi on loan from Denmark heavyweights FC Copenhagen.
Per league and club policy, the duration and financial terms of the contract he signed were not disclosed.
However, the online edition of Soccer Laduma Nigeria, SL10.ng, informs that the 23 - year - old forward has penned a three - month contract with the Oregon based outfit.
“Fanendo is a young and ambitious player with UEFA Champions League experience and we feel that his acquisition on short-term loan, with the option to purchase, provides a great opportunity for both the player and our club.
“This loan allows us to add a quality player into the mix as we are always looking to develop our roster now and in the future,” Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson said to timbers.com.
Fanendo Adi, who has had spells in Ukraine and Slovakia, will travel to United States to join his new teammates on or before the next one week.
