Emmanuel Emenike Rubbishes Rumours Linking Him With Man City, Tottenham Hotspur
Published: May 19, 2014
Fenerbahce goal poacher Emmanuel Emenike has rubbished reports linking him with an imminent move to the English Premier League this summer.
Local media had reported last week that Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton were interested in his signature, but the Nigeria international has hinted that no contact whatsoever has been made with the trio.
And the African Cup of Nations top goalscorer has stressed that his main focus is on the World Cup.
“All the reports linking me to a move away from Fenerbahce are speculations. I am not interested in any transfer talk yet.
“I am happy to help Fenerbahce win the Turkish league, my attention is now shifted to doing well with my country in the World Cup to make the fans and supporters happy,” Emenike stated.
This is not the first time Emmanuel Emenike is being linked with a transfer to British teams, but the reports were far from market reality.
