Kilmarnock reject Reuben Gabriel scored a 25 - yard stunner at a Charity Game organized by Celtic defender Efe Ambrose staged at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Tuesday.
Friends of Efe defeated Highlanders FC, an amateur team owned by Efe’s godfather Alhaji Sabo Babayaro, 4 - 1, with Reuben’s strike the highlight of the match.
At the end of the encounter, the defensive midfielder declared himself fit for the World Cup, stressing that his injury problems in the past two seasons are behind him.
Some well known footballers that graced the charity game include Rabiu Ibrahim, Uche Agba and Yahaya Adamu.
Players and backroom staff of the Flying Eagles were among the important spectators that witnessed the game.
