Future Of David Abwo Covered In Mist Following Relegation Of Zaglebie Lubin
Published: May 24, 2014
David Abwo’s future at Polish club, ZagÅÄbie Lubin has been cast into doubt following their relegation to Poland’s second - tier with two rounds to spare.
On Friday, Zagbie Lubin lost 2 - 0 to Piast Gliwice, a defeat which condemned the team to the I Liga.
With the contract of the former Flying Eagles star set to run out at the end of this season, he may turn down the offer of a contract extension as playing in the second - tier may not appeal to him.
Unarguably, this is David Abwo’s best season since he arrived Europe, with 6 goals in 28 appearances in the league, and he played a pivotal role in ZagÅÄbie Lubin Cup run, meaning he will not be lacking suitors when the transfer market opens.
The 28 - year - old has sported the jerseys of teams in France, Turkey, Hungary and Poland.
