Derick Ogbu : It Will Be Difficult To Say No To Steaua Bucharest
Published: May 26, 2014
Having ended the Romanian championship with 6 goals in 26 games, making him the joint top scorer for CFR Cluj one would have expected Derick Chuka Ogbu to be content with life at his club.
But there are strong suggestions that the attacker is on his way out of Dr. Constantin Räƒdulescu Stadium, as he is being linked with several teams this summer including Steaua Bucharest.
Despite the Romania champions failing to make an official approach to their Liga 1 rivals as well as the player himself, Derick Ogbu fancies a move to the club.
“To be honest, I’ve heard a lot of news going on, but at the moment it’s still a rumour, because no one has contacted me regarding Steaua , but there is still time so maybe a call might come across later.
“Steaua is a top club, they won the Romanian championship already, the only club in Romania that is financially stable, with so many talented players and great Trainer, so if a call comes, it will be difficult to say no,” says Derick Ogbu to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 24 - year - old, who comes off contract with Cluj in the next two seasons, has admirers in Belgium, Russia and Israel.
