Taraba United Match - Winner, Saviour Fidelis Praises Sharks Resilience
Published: June 01, 2014
Taraba United’s messiah against Sharks, Saviour Fidelis, has praised the Port Harcourt side for their resilience after the Jalingo based club struggled to beat them 1 - 0 on Sunday.
The former Super Eagles invitee kept his composure as he converted a penalty in stoppage time to hand the Glo Premier League newcomers the three points.
“It was a very, very difficult game. Sharks are a very good team, well organized at the back. This should rank as one of the best games we have played this season.
“We put them under pressure from beginning to end. It was a well deserved penalty, our first time of being awarded a spot kick home or away this season.
“I was confident I will score, I did not have any doubt. We have broken the jinx and beaten all the top sides in the League in front of our supporters.
“We are a young team and thank God for the position we find ourselves,” says Savious Fidelis to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Taraba United occupy the ninth position in the standings while Sharks are still first despite the loss.
