Ogunjobi Commends Frenage Over Ogun International Tourney

As participants from West African countries are warming up to storm Ijebu-Ode this weekend ahead of maiden Under 13/Under-16 International Soccer Tourney tagged ‘Ogun Unity Cup’, the former secretary general of Nigeria Football Association, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi has described the tourney has a big boost for Nigerian youths who would be competing along with their West African counterpart.
Teams from Ghana, Togo, Cameroun, Cote d’voire and Benin Republic are expected to arrive Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode by 7th June the arrival date for the one week tournament while grand finale is scheduled for Sunday 15th according to A Square Sports International, the organizer of the tourney.
Ogunjobi, who is going to declare event open has lauded the efforts of the Ibadan based Soccer School, Frenage Soccer Academy, the sponsor of the tourney for its drive in developing grassroots football in a brief chat with newsmen in Ibadan.
Meanwhile, Head of Sports from University of Georgia, Moghimi Banman Jalil has landed in the country to join the Technical Director of Frenage Soccer Academy, Fennessy Harty Thomas, former Youth Coach with Chelsea FC of London to scout for exceptional talent that would enjoy from the Soccer scholarship scheme when the competition gets underway.
Ogun State Football Association has also reiterated its vow to join hands with the organizer in ensuring that the epic event is hitch-free, while assuring teams drawn from 36 states of the federation including FCT and teams from West African Countries that would converge in Ogun State for the one-week tourney a secured and fun-filled live in Ijebu-Ode.
