Chelsea Loanee, Kenneth Omeruo Laughs Off Talk He Will Miss Iran Clash
Published: June 11, 2014
Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has laughed off talk that he will not be fit for the clash against Iran on Monday, June 16.
Having missed the Super Eagles last exhibition match against Team USA, there were concerns back home that he would not be available for the start of the World Cup, with some mischief makers even ruling him out of the tournament.
But he was amongst the 22 players that boarded the nine - hour flight to Sao Paulo on Tuesday.
The former ADO Den Haag defender has repeatedly stated that he only suffered a slight knock at training and will start training with the rest of the squad soon.
Nigeria will have a feel of the Brinco de Ouro turf for the first time on Wednesday afternoon at 16:00 hours local time.
