Mikel Brings Brother To Brazil To Act As Personal Assistant
Published: June 13, 2014
John Obi Mikel’s brother, Sam Nchekwube Obinna, reckons that Nigeria can qualify for the knock out rounds of the World Cup.
He is currently in Campinas, Brazil offering support to the Super Eagles midfielder, and acting as his personal assistant, the same task Ogbonna Kanu does for retired Nigeria legend, Nwankwo Kanu.
“We can go far. I think the team is good and confident after the Africa Cup and there is no favouritism.”
“It’s a football game, 90 minutes, we are able to do well in this World Cup, even pull a surprise against Argentina, everyone tips as favourite,” says Sam Nchekwube Obinna to GloboEsporte.com.
“I live with him in London and I travel a lot with it. We go to Chelsea games away from home, traveling the whole of Europe.”
“I was with the Nigeria team at the African Nations Cup and now I’m at the World Cup in Brazil. I’m really enjoying the country,” he concluded.
While Mikel is a household name in Campinas, with several Brazilian fans doing all they can to bypass security to ask for his autograph, Sam Nchekwube Obinna moves around freely without being disturbed.
