Super Eagles Train For One Hour On Wednesday, Leave For Cuiaba Today
Published: June 19, 2014
The Super Eagles held their last training session on Wednesday evening, 24 hours before their departure to Cuiaba, where they face the Dragons in their penultimate Group F fixture.
Similar to the last workout held on Tuesday evening, Wednesday’s practice session which started around 1730 hours lasted less than an hour, with the squad returning to the Vitoria Hotel Concept at 1820 hours.
For the second straight day, Rizespor’s Godfrey Oboabona did not train with the team but Keshi’s assistant, Valere Houandinou, has now claimed that the central defender is in contention for the Bosnia game after receiving ice treatment on his injured foot.
On the other hand, Bosnia coach, Safet Susic is sweating on the fitness of Salihovic and captain Emir Spahic, who got injured in training on Wednesday.
Before the squad left for training, they received an important guest, Nwankwo Kanu, who came to offer his support ahead of the win or bust clash with Bosnia.
