EXCLUSIVE : Godfrey Oboabona Rules Himself Out Of Bosnia Clash
Published: June 20, 2014
Any faint hope that Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona would be available for the make - or - mar clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday has been extinguished.
And the 23 - year - old is hoping to start full training after the Bosnia clash so he is fully fit for the last Group F tie with Argentina.
For your information, that game would be of little importance to the Super Eagles if they fail to get the desired result against the Dragons.
“No I will not be fit for the Bosnia game even though I am getting better. By God’s grace I believe we can defeat Bosnia and qualify for the knock out rounds.
“The defense can cope without me . Soon, by God’s grace I will start full training,” Godfrey Oboabona told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Godfrey Oboabona saw 29 minutes of action before making way for Fenerbahce center back Joseph Yobo due to a foot injury in the opening fixture with Iran on June 16.
He has not trained with the rest of the squad for the past three days.
